in memory of Maui - The World's Greatest Cat

Remember Me

Maui Onion "The Nuzzler" R.
1995 (?) - April 30, 2007

The World's Greatest Cat. I miss him more than words can say. I miss you more than I can say, Maui. I miss you. I miss you. I miss you. Someone, an experienced vet finally knew. He had progressive brain cancer. For those who supported me, my heart's gratitude.

I will remember him, dearest -- each time I connect with you -- and sometimes when I don't. I promise I will remember him.

Love to you and love to him.

Dear Gypsy,

My very deepest heartfelt condolences travel thru the ethers to you and to your mother.

Much Love,

Gypsy, you have a gift, a remarkable capacity for insight, for clarity, for deep understanding of things, people, and cats. I know it's hard to live with all that goes along with that, but never doubt that it's a gift.

It was a gift to Maui, and look what he gave you in return (besides the broken heart, I mean).

I know it doesn't help with the pain, but I want you to know I admire you for loving him so comletely. If only we had more of that sort of courage around, the world would be a better place.

I'm so sorry for your loss, but the story of how you've loved and cared for Maui makes me proud to be a human--something that doesn't happen much lately.

I'm so sorry about Maui. You loved him as no ordinary cat deserved. You're both in my thoughts tonight.

We are here in sorrow...he is somewhere chasing lizards in the boundless light of delight. And I know he treasures and is forever grateful for his time on earth with you Gypsy.

My heart goes out to you and your loved ones, the ones who love Maui.
And of course my heart goes out to him, always.

One In A Million Maui

The day I traveled cyber space and lay my eyes upon his face
It was love
I was moved

He has a special friend - she pampers and she tends to him
The love is so very obvious
Her feelings translate bliss to us

Such a boy who brings such joy
With every stretch and purr
He is one in a million Maui
